The Logo and its Significance

This logo of NIT Arunachal Pradesh depicts the value and aim of education and at the same time glorifies the natural beauty of Arunachal Pradesh. In the logo rising sun reminds us of the fact that Arunachal Pradesh is known as “land of rising sun” in India. Rising sun indirectly signifies that this institute will produce new emerging talents. Open book symbolises that the institute will work for academic betterment of students with the help of books and produce assets for the country. Two figure in book “

" indicates that the institute will motivate students to rise as high as sky and come out with flying colours. A pen tip in sun signifies the importance of education. The two branches of leaves signify the natural beauty of states and focuses on the fact that institute will always try to conserve natural beauty in the present world of modernisation. Hornbill in the logo glorifies the state bird which is almost extinct species in India, hence glorifying state’s natural beauty and at the same time creates awareness about conservation of rare species."

"symbolise for atomic power and tells us that institute’s Moto will be development in field of science. The outer shape is given the circular look and is very apt as the world we are living in has circular 2-D Projection, and indirectly tells that institute will glorify its name with time. The continuous projections above the circle remind us of the fact that Arunachal Pradesh is surrounded by mountain ranges, again glorifying its natural beauty and indirectly relates with engineering tools. The Sanskrit verse “न हि ज्ञानेन सढृशं पवित्रमिह विद्रयते” means that in this world there is nothing as pure as knowledge and this verse is very appropriate as knowledge purity can never be questioned even in this transient world.
