Electronics and Communication Engineering

The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering was established in the year 2010. Department offers B.Tech. and M.Tech. programme (VLSI & Embedded Systems). The department has well experienced, qualified teaching faculty and supporting staff. The department received grants from various funding agencies like DST, MeitY, etc. The department indulges in research in the areas of Signal Processing, Wireless Communications, RF MEMS, Microstrip Antennas, Internet of Things, Low Power VLSI, Device Modelling, Cognitive Radio, Speech/Audio and Video processing, Optical Communication, Optical semiconductor devices, etc.

9 well equipped laboratories established at a cost of approx. Rs. 4 Crores, catering to the fields of Communication, Embedded Systems, Signal & Image Processing and VLSI System Design. Computing facilities include 50 computer systems equipped with various software such as MATLAB R2021a with unlimited toolboxes (Campus wide license), Code Composer Studio, Xilinx-Vivado, Mentor Graphics-HEP 1 & HEP 2, Synopsys tools, Keil μVision 4, OptiSystem, OptiFDTD, BeamPROP, Cadence which are well used in research activities.
