Construction of water intake structure for yadan village (adopted village under UBA)

The villagers of Yadan village faces water scarcity during the lean period as the source of drinking water is a non-perennial stream which tend to dry out before reaching the intake point (old). Working on the report given by villagers the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan Team of NIT, Arunachal Pradesh went for preliminary survey to locate the feasible spot to construct a water intake structure. UBA NIT, AP was able to construct a very innovative, effective and affordable intake structure which will solve the real time problem of water scarcity in the winter season in Yadan village. This system also solves the problem of possible pollution causing infection and turbidity as new pipe line is laid from source to storage tank which prevent any external disturbance.
