Everyone is well aware that literally “Arunachal Pradesh” means “Land of the rising sun’’ as the first ray of morning sun that touches down upon India lights up this distant state first.

Over 80 per cent of the land of enchanting beauty is covered with thick evergreen forests. It is a fabulous destination for Adventure Tourism. Like other part of North East India, a majority of the people native to the state are of Mongoloid stock & speak Tibeto-Burman group of languages.

It has the highest diversity of mammals in the country. It is also known as “Orchid State of India” or “Paradise of the Botanists” & is host to one of Asia’s largest Orchid rum. At most every district in this beautiful state has its own exclusive & rare variety of Orchids.

Infrastructure

Modern Laboratory

Each department is equipped with well established state-of-the-art laboratories including simulation tools and softwares in various field of study to cater alround development of the students. Experimentation and hands on training in the laboratories to facilitate students to deepen their understanding of the concepts learnt in the class and propose technologically feasible and sustainable practical solutions to complex real world problems.

SWAYAM, NPTEL, FLIPED CLASSROOM, SMART CLASSES, etc. are also acquainted by our students.

Computer Laboratory

There are four computer labs equipped with modern PCs with i7 processors and with good power backup facilities and high speed internet up to 1Gbps and systems loaded with latest version of educational licenced softwares.

Central Library

The Library of the Institute is a knowledge centre. The Central Library of NIT Arunachal Pradesh was established in August, 2010. The library has a good number of text; reference books and journals which are supplemented on regular basis. It has a rich collection of information resources mainly in Engineering, Science and also in Management. Reading room facilities are available for thirty students. Xerox and Printing facilities are available for students on payment basis. Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC) service through Libsys, E-Books and E-Journals access facilities are also available in the Central Library. At present the Central Library holds above 27139 volumes, 4000+ number of titles, 32 number of Journals and more than 26 number of magazines.

Language Laboratory

The language lab has revolutionised the way we teach and the students are enabled to learn a language within just the term of using it. The language laboratory is envisaged to cater to the growing demand of a large fluent English speaking youths in areas like multinational IT companies in particular and in all walks of life in general. It has conceptualized customized training program based on the latest technological tools and the most advanced raining methodology to impart simplified and effortless learning of English.

Admission Procedure

All the admissions are subject to highly organized and extremely competitive entrance examinations. Only the students having advanced quantitative and analytical calibre along with the zeal to put in efforts are selected. Personal interviews are also conducted for admission in Post graduate and Doctoral Programmes.

Atulyam

“The Annual Cultural Festival”

Our endeavour is to start an idyessey which will inculcate in us the zeal and spirit to embrace the galaxy of brilliance in our midst and will lead us all to fame and glory. ATULYAM is the annual cultural fest of NIT Arunachal Pradesh. It is one of the esteemed annual cultural fest in north east. Atulyam has entertainment, fun, integrated with awareness and responsibility creating a holistic and magical environment making this festival grand. Atulyam is the tim in the glory of both Indian and western culture.

To build one’s social life as a student, various clubs and events can be a vital part in it. Students participating in various events happening in the institute make them learn important leadership and management skills. Various clubs at NIT AP includes:

Campus Recruitment Process

1. Placement office of NIT Arunachal Pradesh sends invitation to the companies with all relevant information.

2. Interested companies may contact Training and Placement Cell

3. The Companies will be given Job Notification Form (JNF) for each profile and fill all details within a stipulated time period after which students shall view relevant parts of the information and eligible students may apply.

4. If interested, the company can conduct their Pre-placement talk by visiting the campus or via video conferencing.

5. After the application deadline for students, the JNF along with the resumes will be sent to the company.

6. The company must submit the list of candidates eligible for PPT/ Test/ Group Discussion/ Personal Interviews within a stipulated time period.
